Chairman and President
Chairman and President Yoshihito Okinaga

One of the major roles expected of universities in modern times is to return the "knowledge" that is the university's asset to society. In order to fulfill this social responsibility, our university aims to properly manage the various intellectual property cultivated through research on campus at the Teikyo Technology Transfer Center and to return and utilize this property to society.
Our university's Educational Guidelines are "Practical learning," "International perspectives," and "Open mindedness" and utilizing the university's intellectual property widely in society will make these Educational Guidelines concrete. In the process of utilizing the university's intellectual property in a wide range of fields, we hope to foster know-how and a culture regarding intellectual property within the university, and develop these into distinctive social contribution activities.

Teikyo Technology Transfer Center is working to connect the "knowledge" of Teikyo University with society. Taking advantage of the characteristics of being a comprehensive university, the center is engaged in various forms of collaboration in a wide range of fields, including Industry-Academia-Government Collaboration, collaboration with financial institutions, and collaboration with local communities and residents. Specifically, its activities are diverse, including support for the creation of intellectual property, licensing activities to ensure the effective use of the intellectual property created, support for joint research and contract research between the university and industry, medical-engineering collaboration that connects the university's medical needs with industry, and support for the creation of university-based ventures.
Because industry-academia collaboration activities involve many stakeholders and cover a wide range of activities, we often hear people say they don't know where to turn within the university for advice. Teikyo Technology Transfer Center, which serves as the university's portal site for industry-academia collaboration, promotes these activities while fostering organic collaboration with organizations both inside and outside the university. Please feel free to contact us for any inquiries.
