Teikyo Graduate School Certificate Program "Business Data Science Practice Program"
Develop basic knowledge of data science and practical skills to utilize data.
This program is aimed at business people working in companies, and aims to develop the skills to analyze business data, process data using generative AI and programming languages, and accurately interpret the results based on statistical theory. All subjects are offered online, making it a smooth learning experience for working adults who are restricted by time and location.
Working adults who aim to acquire basic knowledge of data science and practical skills to utilize data, and who meet any of the following criteria:
Those who have graduated from university
A person who has been awarded a bachelor's degree in accordance with the provisions of Article 104, Paragraph 7 of the School Education Law
Those who have completed a 16-year course in school education in a foreign country
Those who have completed a 16-year course in foreign school education by taking courses in correspondence education conducted by a foreign school in Japan.
Those who have completed a specialized course at a vocational school (limited to courses with a duration of four years or more and that meet other standards set by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology) designated by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology on or after the date set by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.

Those who have reached the age of 22 and have been recognized as having academic ability equivalent to or greater than that of a university graduate through an individual entrance qualification examination in accordance with the provisions of this program.

Please submit the following three documents by mail: a certificate of graduation/completion (or expected completion), and the designated forms below (application form and statement of purpose). When applying, please be sure to check the student recruitment guidelines.
* Application documents must arrive by the last day of the application period.
* If there are any problems with your application documents, the university administration office will contact you. Selection will be suspended until all required documents are met.
* Submitted application documents will not be returned, regardless of the reason.

In today's world, where data and information are important, it is necessary to accurately obtain the necessary data and information, analyze it correctly, and accurately identify and solve problems. For this reason, it is essential to acquire the basic knowledge and methods for using data and information correctly. Therefore, this class aims to equip students with the fundamental data literacy skills, thinking skills, and ability to use data correctly, which are necessary regardless of their career path.
Introduction to Data Science and AI
We aim to provide students with the fundamental information literacy, ability to think, and ability to properly utilize data, all of which are necessary for any career in the real world, and provide a place to learn systematic knowledge and practical skills in data science. We aim to develop the ability to "see through the essence" and "continue to learn."
Data and Society, Economy, and Human Behavior
This course will introduce the latest case studies from macro perspectives such as society and the economy to micro perspectives such as organizational and human behavior. This course will cover the concepts and research of business strategy, organizational management, marketing, human resource management, behavioral economics, psychology, and legal issues regarding privacy and data usage.
Business Statistics
The aim of this course is to develop the ability to apply the fundamentals of mathematical processing and statistics to the analysis of practical data in business, and to develop the ability to tackle problems specific to management, including marketing. The scope covers all aspects of statistics, but it mainly covers the application of variance, covariance, and correlation coefficients, analysis using sample surveys and statistical estimation/tests, regression analysis of quantitative data, and regression analysis using dummy variables to handle qualitative data (Quantification Type 1).

This program will be launched as part of Graduate Degree Program of Comprehensive Applied Data Science, a basic organization for implementing collaborative courses with graduate schools.
