Clinical Needs Matching Event Held atItabashi Campus

On Thursday, January 8, 2026, a clinical needs matching event was held at Teikyo University's Itabashi Campus in collaboration with Teikyo Technology Transfer Center, School of Medicine University Hospital, and Itabashi Ward, Tokyo.
The purpose of this event is to present problems (clinical needs) in the medical field and connect them with the technologies (technological seeds) possessed by medical device manufacturers and manufacturing companies, with the aim of leading to the development of new medical devices, etc.
On the day, nine medical professionals from our university's affiliated hospital presented 11 clinical needs. At the networking event after the presentations, there was a lively exchange of opinions between the presenters and participants regarding the clinical needs that arise from the daily environment in which they face surgery, treatment, and patient support.
We will continue to aim to promote collaboration with medical device manufacturers, dealers, and manufacturing companies, as well as the development of medical devices, based on the needs of clinical sites.
