On Friday, December 5, 2025, Tomokazu Soma, head coach of the Teikyo University Rugby Football Club gave a lecture at the "Hino Citizens' University University Collaboration Course" at Hino City Central Community Center (Hino City, Tokyo).
This project is hosted by Hino Civic Community Center and is aimed at people from the Tama region, and in 2025, lectures were provided by five universities in the vicinity of Hino City, including our university. This time, the lecture was titled "Learn the Rules of Rugby and Watch the Game," and touched on the Rugby Charter, the history and rules of rugby, and other topics, allowing those who participated to enjoy watching rugby even more. Participants commented that "I enjoyed the commentary while watching the game footage," and "It was good to learn about the rules and the philosophy of rugby."
On Tuesday, December 23, 2025, our university and Hino City signed a comprehensive agreement on mutual cooperation and collaboration with the aim of further promoting responses to local issues and contributing to the formation and development of a sustainable and unique local community.
Our university will continue to contribute to solving local issues and improving the quality of life of citizens.
