It is natural to feel anxious when you are diagnosed with a physical illness such as cancer. Also, when a family member or close friend is diagnosed with cancer, you may be worried about how to interact with them. It is said that it is important to provide mental care along with physical treatment. In this course, we will explain in an easy-to-understand manner the difficulties of mental counseling in the area where mental and physical issues overlap. We invite cancer patients, their families, and local residents to join us in thinking about this issue.
On the day, for those who wish, we will have a chat session about their daily feelings after the lecture, and we will also hold a tour of Teikyo University Mental Health Center. If you would like to cooperate with our research, we would appreciate it if you could fill out a questionnaire about your experiences with cancer on the day.
